Our Concept

Vino Volo aims to revolutionize how people experience wine. Each store is a comfortable post-security retreat for air travelers, combining a cozy wine lounge, restaurant, and boutique wine shop. Vino Volo (derived from "wine flight" in Italian) offers wines from around the world by the glass, in tasting flights, and by the bottle for guests to take home or have shipped. Operating successfully in airports across the nation, Vino Volo is the only airport wine bar and wine retail concept with a depth of experience and a proven track record.

Our Offering

Vino Volo's staff hand-selects the wines featured on the menu, creating themed tasting flights of two or three glasses, including a "Sommelier Series" showcasing two extraordinary wines. Every location offers elegant small plates and entrees such as locally-produced artisan cheeses, dry-cured meats, and the signature dish of smoked salmon & crabmeat crostini. All dishes are available for guests to enjoy in the lounge or to carry with them onto their flight.

Our Service

Exceptional service is a cornerstone of the Vino Volo experience, and the company invests heavily in educating its talented staff to make wine approachable and fun. A highly trained team of Wine Associates helps guests explore and enjoy Vino Volo’s wines. The company also has a patented tasting framework to ease customers through the wine discovery process. Vino Volo has taken airport service to a new level, and was awarded "Highest Regard for Customer Service" from the airport industry in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Our Stores

Sophisticated design and inviting leather lounge chairs create an inviting wine country atmosphere while creatively adapting its mix of wine bar, gourmet plates, and retail wine and gifts for each location. In addition, Vino Volo offers a Wine Club for enthusiasts who delight in specially selected hard-to-find wines to arrive in their homes monthly or quarterly. Vino Volo owns and operates all of its stores, with no current plans to franchise.

Our Team

Vino Volo's management team has over five decades of combined experience in launching new ventures and operating premier multi-unit retail concepts, including full-service restaurants with a focus on wine, and high-volume retail concepts operating in challenging non-traditional environments. Standing behind the Vino Volo team is a group of highly-credentialed investors and advisors with over a century of combined experience in retail, hospitality and wine that include the founder of Ravenswood Winery, the founder & CEO of Perrier North America, the founder of Scharffen Berger Chocolate Maker, and the former CEO of Jamba Juice, among others. Each member of this group sits on a formal Advisory Board that actively consults Vino Volo on its development and execution. "Taste, Inc. DBA Vino Volo" is the California-based legal entity behind all Vino Volo operations.
